Celebrity Style: "Penelope Cruz makeup"

I often get inspiration from celebrities, that I use as makeup looks for everyday women. Actresses like Penelope Cruz are surrounded by celebrity makeup artists, this results in stunning styles. Penelope is one of those women who has really changed her image for the better. As a Spanish actress, breaking out into the American scene is not an easy transition. She has style, talent and beauty that is unique and inspirational, but still holds onto her roots.

What really draws me to her personal style are her soulful defined eyes. L'Oreal also took interest in her eyes and have cast her in numerous mascara marketing campaigns. Not all women can get away with full black liner as it tends to shrink the eye. Penelope pulls this look off with grace and uses it as her signature look. The best method of doing this technique is to keep your eye shadow natural and light. Use matte taupes and warm browns, as the focus is on the framing of the eye. The inner rim of the lower eyelid should be lined with a creme liner or black eye pencil. Make sure to smudge and blend out the liner unto the bottom eye area. Mascara can then be applied in black and dark brown shades, making sure to extend and fill out the lashes.

Her look would not be complete without her gorgeous hair. To achieve this make sure hair is well conditioned. Apply a volume increasing product like Paul Mitchell's Sculpting Foam and blow dry with a round brush. To add more bounce and body you can use a large curling iron or large hot rollers and brush out after the curls have cooled. Apply a shine spray and a light hairspray to create a sheen and set the hair.

Her style is glamorous but not pretentious, so keep it simple and clean.
